Massachusetts Proposed Ballot Questions

Referendum to decriminalize small amounts of marijuana and save millions of dollars

On November 4, 2008, Massachusetts voters will have the chance to pass a ballot initiative decriminalizing the possession of small amounts of marijuana — removing the threat of jail time for possessing an ounce or less of marijuana for personal use. This initiative would save the commonwealth millions of dollars in law enforcement resources each year. You can provide support to The Committee for Sensible Marijuana Policy, who are organizing this referendum question, through their website.

Libertarian for School Committee in Wakefield Steven Greffenius is our newest Libertarian candidate for political office. A resident of Wakefield, he is running for School Committee.

Libertarian for Selectman of Wakefield Bill DiScipio of Wakefield is running for Board of Selectman and needs your support. He has given me permission to post his home number since he does not have internet access. This is the second time he's run for this office. Last year he came very close to getting elected with no support, I'd like to see him win this year but he can't do it without your help.

Currently he needs help distributing literature to Wakefield Voters. He will also need help on election day at each polling place in Wakefield. You can reach him by telephone at 781-246-1139.

Romney: Champion of Big Government Is Mitt Romney the "economic conservative" he claims to be?...Now that he's running for president, let's compare his words with his deeds... What does he do when he's elected? Mitt Romney hits up taxpayers with a variety of new taxes while pretending he doesn't. Mitt Romney jacks up government spending as much as any Big Government Democrat would. Mitt Romney champions massive Big Government Programs that make Ted Kennedy proud.
